Material Testing:
- Testing of all civil engineering materials like, Cement, steel, tiles, Bricks, Fine aggregate, Coarse aggregate, Bitumen etc.
- Soil testing by procuring the soil sample at the site and tests on soil conducted including the soil classification.
- Quality of Water and Waste Water parameters are carried out.
Third Party Inspection:
- Third party inspection for quality checking of the works done by government organizations like PWD, Zilla Panchayath, Pollution control Board, KRIDL, etc., at different stages.in almost all taluks of Davangere District and other districts viz Chitradurga, Haveri and Koppal.
Major works undertaken by the department:
- Design and supervision of major drinking water scheme of Davangere city (Kundawada Lake).
- Surveying of the entire Davangere city.
- Restoration of tanks in Davangere district under which around 300 tanks were inspected and quality assessments were made.
- Repair and reconstruction of earthen bunds.
- Road projects, building works.
- Environmental Impact Studies for the Industries like, Sugar, Steel and Distilleries.
