Purpose: The Parents-Teachers Meeting (PTM) was conducted to discuss the academic performance and overall development of the students with their parents. The meeting aimed to strengthen the parent-teacher relationship and provide insights into the department's functioning and facilities.
Proceedings: The meeting commenced with a welcome address by the Head of the Department, Dr. Vinutha H P. She highlighted the department's vision, mission, and the various facilities provided to the students for their holistic development. Dr. Vinutha also discussed the strengths and weaknesses of the department, emphasizing the continuous efforts to improve the quality of education and infrastructure.
Following the introduction, mentors from the department engaged in one-on-one discussions with the parents. They provided detailed insights into the academic progress, attendance, and overall behavior of each student. The mentors addressed any concerns raised by the parents and offered guidance on how to support their children's academic journey effectively.
Conclusion: The meeting concluded on a positive note, with snacks arranged for all the parents and students. The PTM served as a platform for open communication between parents and teachers, fostering a collaborative environment for the betterment of the students.
Feedback: The feedback from the parents was encouraging, with many appreciating the efforts of the department in organizing such an informative and interactive session. Parents expressed satisfaction with the progress of their children and the support provided by the faculty members.

The event "Funny Cricket" was organized by the Department of Information Science & Engineering and the Department of Computer Science & Business Systems, in association with the IEEE Student Branch. Originally planned to start from 27th December, the event kicked off on 3rd January 2024, and continued for a month. It took place at the football ground of BIET, where matches were scheduled daily after 4 PM. Despite the challenge of scheduling matches due to the large number of teams, the event garnered significant participation and enthusiasm from both participants and spectators
